SYSTRAN Corporation (http://www.systransoft.com/systran/corporate-profile/) was founded in 1968. Over nearly half a century, SYSTRAN has become a leading machine translation solutions and products supplier for major clients all over the world, such as: SAMSUNG, Airbus, Barclay, Cisco, Symantec, Department of National Defense and Security of some nations, etc. Unlike other common translation systems, (Google Translate, Bing Translator, etc.) automatic translation products of SYSTRAN are designed not to use English as a medium for translation, but to directly translate within each pair of languages (eg Korean <–> Japanese). In each pair of translation, SYSTRAN also considers the similarities and differences as well as the characteristics of each problem.  It is based on the request of the customer so that the translation system will be as high-quality and effective as possible. With this method, until now, SYSTRAN has produced 130 translation systems for pairs of popular languages in the world.
According to the memorandum signed between the CLC and SYSTRAN, together they both will study and develop machine translation systems that directly translate Korean – Vietnamese, and Vietnamese – Korean.
